The main current issue in the internet today is privacy. Anything you put on the internet about yourself can be a huge risk. There are thousands of databases and websites that make it easy for people to see what you have done wrong or right. Information about yourself on a website can sometimes be leaked. You may think that your information is secure, but be careful sometimes it is not. I post things all the time on Facebook, I never really put personal information about myself on their because I am afraid my information can still be accessible to people on my account. So just be careful what you post on your social media accounts. I feel that identity theft is a major problem today in this world all because of the internet. Identity theft is basically where people use your information they got from the internet to purchase things online. If we could find more ways to make the internet more secure with our personal information we wouldn’t have problems with this like we do. All I can say is make sure that you are on a reliable site when you put your credit card information on their.

I agree with you 100 percent. With the internet and alternative banking methods such as debit cards, and online banking so popular right now our personal information is more accessible than ever before. It is up to us to make sure that our personal information is not shared with someone that will use it for their own gains. If we do not monitor our own information on and off the internet then we are potentially allowing someone else to access our information for their own use, and potently losing our identity. In order to make sure that our own information stays our own we must be careful what information we share with others, and make sure when we do share our information it is with a creditable and reliable source.

I agree with the importance of making sure you are on a reliable site. I think that it is a good thing you don’t put anything too personal about yourself on the internet. If people are worried about their privacy, they shouldn’t put anything that they don’t want anyone (even people they don’t know) to find out because somehow they will.

It is always a good idea to keep some things about you completely private and off the internet. Even if you make every profile you create private, there are still websites that people can use to bypass that privacy barrier. In a sense, there is no such thing as privacy when it comes to the internet and we all have to be careful about what we make public information. In one of my blog posts I also wrote about this subject, and I agree that identity theft is a definite issue and a possibility for anyone who shares too much about themselves on the internet.
